Hillcrest's entry in the 2009 Region One-Act Festival was the Pulitzer Prize-winning play "W;t" by Margaret Edson. The show was student-directed by Mackenzi Van Engelenhoven and starred Mackenzi Van Engelenhoven, Megan Graul, Markus Sharette, Ebbie Ghaeini, Damia December, Zac Bringhurst, Cassie Ghersi, Cosette Hatch, Kate Mikell and Nathan Schrenk. Lighting was handled by Dalton Parker.
The play received straight Superior marks from all adjudicators and will be representing Region 2 at the State Festival in April. In addition, Mackenzi Van Engelenhoven received an Outstanding Performance award.
Congratulations to all involved!
Individual Events are next week...make sure everyone is rehearsing their pieces so they will represent Hillcrest well.

Dear Theatre Dept.
As you may or may not have noticed, Cymbeline opens this week. The show plays in the little theatre, making the actual theatre room the lobby. People are going to be coming through the room on their way to the show. For this reason, it is imparative that you KEEP THE ROOM CLEAN!!!! Do not leave your props, furniture, clothes, backpacks, food, or general crap lying around the room. Also, please be respectful of what has been set up for Cymbeline. This includes STAYING OUT OF THE KITCHEN! It is no a dressing room, and there are no exceptions. Do not go in the kitchen. Period.
Thanks. Enjoy Cymbeline, and please work hard to keep the room clean.
Love,
The Management
