Hillcrest High School Presents the
Performing Arts Musical Auditions for
In The Heights
The Utah High School Premiere of the 2008 Tony Award-Winning Best Musical.
This will be an event not to be missed.
The first Broadway musical to incorporate rap and hip-hop into an original score.
WHEN: August 26th and 27th, 2014 after school. You can come either day.
WHERE: Auditorium
HOW: Audition with 30 seconds of any song to sing. If you would like to be considered for a lead please bring 30 seconds of a Broadway song. (NOTE: Males wanting to be considered for a lead also must prepare a rap section from a musical, and it can be from In the Heights). There will be a piano (but you will have to bring your own accompanist), a CD player, and speakers that can play anything with a headphone jack. You cannot sing a capella, and you cannot sing to a CD with vocals.
WHO: Any and all Hillcrest students who want to participate can and will! You only have to sing at auditions to make it into the musical. Beginners are welcome! We need rappers, hip-hop dancers, people of all sorts of ethnic backgrounds, and just all around cool kids. :-)
WHAT: The Performing Art's Musical is a great experience at Hillcrest that you can be a part of! In the Heights is a very diverse and exciting show. It will involve everything from Hip Hop to Rapping. A winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, In the Heights is not something you want to miss out on. This is a great way to start of your year at Hillcrest High School. Spread the word to you friends and to the incoming Freshmen who might not know about this.
